The sowing of leeks is underway
11-03-2018 We sowed the first young leek plants in Dutch soil in the first week of March. This was followed by a short cold period with temperatures going several degrees below zero, which caused a small delay. In the middle of March we were able to resume sowing plants for the following weeks. The weather forecast seems fairly stable, which means we can keep sowing plants on a weekly basis. We will deliver our leeks from the end of May until the end of August.
Every year, Beeren Plantproducts sows between 20 and 25 different varieties, destined for growers throughout Europe. The leek plants will be available from the end of May until the end of August.
