The first leek plants are growing!
20-02-2019 The conditions on 18 February were well-suited for sowing the first leek plants. The period of mild and dry weather presented us with the opportunity to sow the earliest Dutch leek plants. After preparing the mini tunnels, the first two weeks of March presented a challenge because of the stormy weather. Currently, the tunnels are all in place in their respective plots, and the plants are growing very well.
Beeren Plantproducts supplies leek plants to growers throughout Europe. The plants will be available from the end of May until the end of August. Each year, more than 25 different varieties are produced.
