Springtime!
Springtime work at Beeren Plantproducts has taken off once again – we’ve already lifted, sorted, and delivered the first asparagus crowns to growers all over Europe. The quality, weight, and yield of the different varieties are all very good. The first crowns have been delivered to Italy, France, Germany, and the UK and are already growing!
We’re also on schedule for sowing both our organic and non-organic leek plants, having sown the plants for delivery in weeks 22 to 25. The plants are already visible under the first tunnels, and we will cover the seeds sown later with fleece.
We will sow the leek plants on a weekly basis from now on. We will also plant the mother plants for our strawberry plants at the end of March. In early April, we will start sowing our asparagus crowns for 2022.
A new year has well and truly begun!
