Sowing of the first leek plants
Once again, the first leek plants were sown at Beeren Plantproducts in week 9. With the early spring sunshine, conditions during sowing were excellent. During the next few days, the first tunnels will be placed over the plants to provide a good climate for germination.
Leek plants will be sown from week 9 until mid-May so that we can deliver plants throughout the summer. Every year, Beeren Plantproducts sows between 20 and 25 different varieties, destined for growers throughout Europe. The leek plants are available from the end of May until the end of August.
