New varieties of strawberry plants in our range
At the end of July we began lifting and sorting our fresh plants from the field for mother plants. Many of these plants were replanted in nursery beds for further development.
A number of new varieties are available for the coming year: Limalexia and Malling Allure. In addition to the traditional Elsanta and Sonata varieties, these new varieties are a great addition to our range. The strawberry plants are currently developing nicely. Conditions in the field are being monitored closely and adjusted where necessary. The plants will be lifted again at the end of November once they have had sufficient rest. After the plants have been sorted meticulously, they will be stored in our own cold stores until the spring of 2020.
