New varieties of asparagus in our range
05-11-2014 As from the next planting season (spring 2015), Beeren Plantproducts will be adding three new varieties to its range: two varieties by Bejo and a variety by Limgroup. All three varieties are 100% male hybrids.
The variety Cygnus F1 (Bejo) is suitable for the cultivation of white asparagus in Northern Europe. This is a medium-early variety with high yields and thick spears of beautiful quality.
The variety Bacchus F1 (Bejo) is suitable for the cultivation of anthocyanin-free green asparagus in Northern Europe. This is an early variety with high yields. The variety has uniform spears with well-closed tips.
The variety Portlim F1 (Limgroup) is suitable for normal green cultivation in areas with a moderate climate. Portlim combines middle-early harvest with high yields and a long, cost-effective lifespan.
