First leek plants for 2016 growing already!
29-02-2016 In the last days of February, we sowed our first leek plants for the 2016 season. The weather and field conditions on Sunday 28 February happened to be ideal for sowing the first leek plants. Not only that, but the first tunnels have been placed on the plots in which the early seeds were planted. Once sown, it takes twelve weeks for the plants to grow to their full size. Depending on the weather conditions, we'll leave the small tunnels as they are now for around eight weeks. The weather forecast for the coming weeks is fairly stable, as a result of which sowing of our leek plants can continue according to the standard timetable.
