First asparagus crowns already supplied to Southern Europe
01-03-2016 On Monday 29 February, we began lifting, sorting, and supplying our first asparagus crowns. The excellent growing conditions in September and October 2015 meant the crowns had reached their full size and had optimal quality and weight. The first asparagus crowns have been already supplied to Southern Europe. Growers in Italy, Southern France, and Greece already have the right weather conditions to start planting the first new asparagus plots. With favourable weather conditions forecast, we will start supplying asparagus crowns to the rest of Europe in the coming weeks.
