Delivery of leek plants has started
01-06-2019 The delivery season for our leek plants for 2019 started at the end of May. Despite the colder weather in mid-May, the first plants were delivered in calendar week 22 (week commencing 27 May). The quality and vitality of these varieties is good.
Many plants have reached their destinations at growers throughout Europe. The main markets for leek plants are France, Belgium, Germany, Ireland, and Scandinavia.
Beeren Plantproducts produces 28 different varieties of leek plants, which can be delivered from the end of May until the end of August. The plants can be delivered in a range of types of packaging.
