Beeren Plantproducts makes a donation to Ronald McDonald House
21-08-2015 On the weekend of 18 and 19 July, Beeren Plantproducts celebrated its 60th anniversary. It was a festive occasion for the growers, customers, and clients of the asparagus, leeks, and strawberry cultivator. Instead of giving a gift, all the invitees were requested to make a donation to the Ronald McDonald House in Maastricht.
Sick children should never be without their parents. The parents and siblings of children receiving treatment at the Maastricht University Medical Center+, stay over at the Ronald McDonald House in Maastricht. The Ronald McDonald House offers a space for the families of sick children to settle and to find support from other parents and volunteers.
Because Beeren Plantproducts supports this charity, a suggestion was made to all invitees who are sympathetic to the work done by this charity, to make a donation to Ronald McDonald House in Maastricht. 'This tip was well heeded,' says John Beeren. 'We are proud to announce that we raised over €4,000 for charity on this evening. This amount will be raised to €5,000 by Beeren Plantproducts. I would also like to sincerely thank all those who generously donated for their gift.'
