Asparagus crowns sown for 2019!
15-05-2018 During the spring month of April, Beeren Plantproducts sowed all its asparagus crowns for 2019. This year, we have sown 23 varieties from several different plant breeders, including Limgroup, Bejo Zaden, Südwestdeutsche Saatzucht, Fox Seeds, and Bayer CropScience.
Following less favourable weather conditions in March, the weather and field conditions improved enough for us to sow in April. We used this opportunity to the fullest. This has paid off, as the first seeds have already germinated. We will continue to monitor our plants and make any necessary adjustments to how we cultivate them in the coming months.
